SOCKEYE SALMON SKIN STUD EARRINGS
Gold-Filled Hardware
These studs are small, but they carry place, process, and intention.
Each pair is handcrafted using ethically sourced Sockeye Salmon skin, preserved to highlight its natural pattern and depth. The salmon used in these earrings was caught in Southeast Alaska by myself or by close friends, honoring a relationship to land and water rooted in care, skill, and respect. Encased in a clean, minimal gold-filled bezel, the surface catches light subtly—organic texture meeting refined form.
Sockeye Salmon has long been central to life in Alaska, known for its strength, endurance, and deep connection to cyclical return. In this work, the skin is not treated as waste, but as material—transformed thoughtfully into something enduring and wearable.
Finished with high-end gold-filled stud posts and backings, these earrings are designed for both beauty and comfort. The backs are encased in soft silicone, offering added security, stability, and ease for everyday wear—an intentional detail that reflects the same care given to the visible design.
Understated, durable, and deeply rooted, these studs are meant to be worn often and held onto for years.
